Meet our team

Mark Evans

I was introduced to the world of boating in 1997, when I experienced the Sea of Cortez Cup in La Paz, Mexico with the previous owners of Windworks! That trip changed my life, and I because of it, I became the owner of Windworks in 2013. I’ve had the ability to grow the Windworks family with great staff, as well as some of my own family!

Lauri Trull

General Manager

I’m from Huntington Beach, California and have lived in Seattle since 1994! I’ve been working in customer service for the past 25 years, and have proudly gained more than 10 years of managerial experience. I really enjoy having the ability to work closely with our club members by helping and getting to know them! I hope to provide the best experience for sailors that come through our club!

Patrick Najou

Director of Sailing

I was born in Brittany (France) and started sailing when I was 6 years old and spent most of my adult life in San Diego. I moved to beautiful Seattle in 2015. My passion is to share with others the incredible experience of sailing.

Being Director of Sailing at Windworks is very exciting to me. My objectives for 2017 is to provide our students and members with an improved sailing experience, my motto is: “Be Safe, Have Fun, and Make It Look Good..!” We have a unique opportunity in Puget Sound to sail all year round and have a beautiful fleet to respond to all your needs. We also have a wonderful team of highly qualified Instructors to teach everyone from total beginners to advanced sailors willing to improve their skills.

See you soon on the water….

Aaron Holmes

Oregon native, new to boating and I absolutely love it! I’ve become US Sailing BBC Certified to guarantee the best service for our fleet. I try to make sure each vessel is maintained and equipped for each class, charter and clinic. Happy to provide information about the fleet and their mechanics. If you need any assistance, I’m your guy!

Victor Evans

Dock Concierge

I was born and raised in Seattle, and grew up around power-boats; but recently I’ve found that I’m a sailor at heart! Windworks has helped me find my inner passion for sailing. I get to be around our awesome fleet, learning as much as I can about the different types of vessels! I recently became BBC Certified, so I can give feedback on our fleet as well as our classes.

Mark Knighton

Dock Staff

I recently moved to the Seattle area from Kaneohe on the windward side of Oahu. Aboard my small daysailer, Rum Huntah, I was a regular site from The Mokes to Mokolii to Ahu O Laka. After a stint working as a faculty member with the University of Hawaii at Manoa, I’ve returned to my sailing roots with a focus on maintenance and repair of boat systems. In March, I sat for ABYC certification exams in both diesel and gasoline engines. Prior to joining the university faculty, I was aboard NOAA research vessels working in remote stretches of Alaska as an AB and building towards my 3 rd Mate Unlimited license. I’ve been fortunate to spend much of my adult life both on and in the ocean and look forward to learning about the Sound and people who call this place home.
