Tides for the Area

Our weather links are devoted to make trip planning safer and easier. We have several NOAA links including the 5-day forecast for the Central Sound area and two different buoy sites. The NOAA buoy system link gives you access to most of NOAA‘s buoys on the west coast. Each buoy supplies real time information. The “West Point” buoy is a Shilshole sailor‘s favorite, also supplying real time wind speeds. The “Current Sound Winds” is taken from the Washington State Ferries site and provides current wind measurements taken while crossing the Sound. The areas shown are from West Seattle to the San Juan Islands. The “Tidal Predictor” can give you past, present or future tidal predictions.
