| The classic series of lessons are typically
taught over a series of weekend days – such as three consecutive Saturdays. Basic
Keelboat and Basic Cruising each are comprised of six (4) hour sessions, with 2 (4) hour
sessions typically taught on a particular weekend day for three weeks. These classes
include vessel, instructor, texts, materials, testing, and US SAILING certification. This
schedule works well for our students who live in the Greater Seattle Area and Western
Washington. Live-aboard accommodations can be made for those traveling to WINDWORKS from

Custom sailing lessons offer two avenues: 1) The first is the “Adventure Series” which includes groups of students taking Basic Keelboat or Basic Cruising on consecutive weekdays, such as Mon.-Tue.-Wed. We include live-aboard accommodations for these days. Like the Classic Series, these lessons include texts, materials, skipper, vessel, test, and US SAILING certification. This schedule is great for our students who live out of state or east of the Cascades. 2) The second option includes lessons designed on a personal basis, and are tailored to an individual or families‘ own time frame. Includes private vessel, instructor and schedule. These lessons may be structured for a family or private group, and may cover various levels of certification as designed to suit experience levels and timing considerations. Each private set of lessons is custom quoted and arranged. Call for details on this option. |
