About Windworks Membership
Membership in Windworks gives you a home base for all of your sailing and powerboating experiences without the usual costs of boat ownership. In the club you can learn from scratch, or improve your existing boating skills. Go sailing and powerboating as often as you–d like in the same manner as you would if you owned a boat by the day, weekend, or week. Enjoy excellent staff support and high quality vessels which are always at your service. Our philosophy is to keep our membership dues as low as possible, while maximizing your access to the club services and products when you want them. Your dues are the key to preferred club member pricing, charter privileges, and a host of other exclusive services. Our club members enjoy the continuity, support, convenience, affordability, and camaraderie that a relationship with the club yields; especially important when advancing though different certification skill sets or expanding your skills on different vessel types and sizes. Your minimum monthly commitment means we are here to provide your personal access to the best of boating. All club services, classes, and charters are purchased on your individual time frame - when you want to take a class, when you want to charter, or join a group sailing event. Our club offers the highest degree of personal flexibility in choosing how and when you will go sailing. Why buy advance minimum amounts of sailing time required in other programs? In short, Windworks members enjoy the lowest possible monthly fixed cost for access to sailboats from 25ft to 43ft. When compared to the fixed monthly costs of ownership, or to other programs that pre-sell monthly sailing time in blocks (whether used or not), our “minimal” dues structure allows you to pay when you actually sail! The average number of days sailed per year in the US for people who own their own cruising sailboat is 14 days per year. Do the math! The downpayment on the boat alone would buy over 75 days of charter, of about 5 1/2 years of typical usage. The monthly expenses, not including unforeseen maintenance, would buy 5 days of sailing per month, every month of the year, for the 15 year term of the boat financing! As this example illustrates, the sailing club offers the most affordable choice for sailing in the market today. Think of it as maximum sailing flexibility!

Windworks is a US SAILING facility, which means that you are associating with sailing“s nationally recognized governing body. The US SAILING course curriculum is the national standard and is unique in it‘s thoroughness, standards, and credibility. Windworks has the most qualified instructors in the Pacific Northwest. All are rigorously US SAILING evaluated for sailing and teaching skills, and all hold their US COAST GUARD licenses. In additional , all are selected on their ability to ensure that each student is treated with respect; that everyone is comfortable while out on the water, and that we have fun while we learn. Unlike boat ownership, you can leave the worries and maintenance of boat ownership to someone else. Sail a variety of boats, choosing the size and type of boat to fit the occasion.
